Book Lovers Campaign

Organized together with the Kyobo Book Centre, this reading movement is designed to encourage Korea¡¯s ten million active book-readers and to enhance the cultural level of the population as whole. In 2007, the campaign focused on readers and book-buyers as users of "literature", of "books," and the campaign provided quality and distinctive cultural contents by expanding the stage of cultural travel to foreign countries. The major programs include "Spaces for Reading with the Authors" (held on seven occasions), "Literary Journeys" (held on three occasions including foreign literary journeys), the "National Reading Debate Competition," and "Literary Art Exhibitions" (held on six occasions).
