Beginning in 2001, this symposium has been held in collaboration with the Association of Writers for National Literature, and in 2007 Kim Dal-jin, Kim Mun-jip, Kim So-un, Kim Jae-cheol, Park Se-yeong, Song Wan-sun, Shin Go-song, Shin Nam-cheol, Shin Seok-jeong, Yun Bok-jin, Lee Hyo-seok, and Ham Dae-hun among other prominent writers participated in the event. A symposium was held titled "Divergence and the Growing Rift, Scenes in Darkness," and another event, "Literature Night," was held that brought together members of the writers' families and the general public. The Foundation also sponsored a special symposium devoted to Kim Dal-jin and Shin Seok-jeong.
