- The Han River Literary Festival 2009
Celebrating the “World of Water,” as a part of the Han River Renaissance Project, which aims to make the Han River a living space, as well as a cultural arts area comfortable to citizens, the Han River Literary Festival 2009 was a project that aimed to create a literary festival scene where art and recreation could hold hands, where new powers of imagination and stories could be refined, stored, and flow at Sunyoudo Park, a park that was originally a filtration plant but recycled into a park.
The Hangang Project Headquarters, the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, and the Han River Cultural Forum hosted this festival, and the Foundation provided supervision. The festival opened on October 17 (Saturday) at Sunyoudo Park in the Han River, and the main programs included the opening ceremony, a celebratory performance, a writer’s café, a literary walk, book readings, photography exhibition of Korean modern writers, and a literature expo.
